זַרְבּוּבִית
זַרְבּוּבִיתf. (v. זָרָב) a tray or saucer fastened to the bottom of a drinking vessel for the reception of drippings; in gen. saucer, dish, disk. Pesik. R. s. 35 שנדמה כז׳ קטנהוכ׳ (ed. Fr. זרבוכ׳, corr. acc.) whose face appeared (over the camp) like a small disk of fire; Yalk Dan. 1062 כביבית (corr. acc. or כגִיגִית).Pl. זַרְבּוּבִיֹּות. Lev. R. s. 5; Num. R. s. 10 (expl. מזרקי, Am. 6:6) כוסות שיש להם ז׳ cups with saucers; Yalk Am. 545 שאין בהם זכוכית (corr. acc.).
